Thanks to this plant, we are able to reduce our CO2?emissions by 10,000 tons per year. The production lines have a specific high-yield efficiency. Their energy consumption per kg of product is among the lowest in the sector. In 2024, it falls on August 1st and yet we still have 5 months to go! The Global Footprint Network estimates that we consume the resources of 1.7 planet per annum, a trend which keeps growing! Did you know DIAM, Mytik, and Origine by DIAM closures can be "upcycled" via collection and recycling facilities specific to cork closures? Upcycling refers to the fact that DIAM corks can be transformed to make other cork-based products but are not reused as corks. Additionally DIAM, recycles cork dust, a cork by-product, in order to provide heat for combustion needed in the manufacturing process, thus mitigating the need to resort to fossil fules. 41% of DIAM's energy consumption came from our cork dust in 2022.
