Attending / participating in GAI Summit (highly recommend). Based on my Gemini Ultra testing so far, it's at least par quality with GPT4 ...a bit too early to make prescriptive "its better!" judgements but it's sure as hell not worse *and* its' 5-10x faster to respond than GPT4. The big differentiator here is Google's TPU ASICs, with TPU v5p being a 2-3x increase over the previous model. 4-5TB per chip. with FIOS comms. Scales well with 8-12x parameter increase per year in LLMs for the last 5+ years. It's also being released with its' own hardware and software ecosystem. Likely better than NVSwitch and NVidia's general purpose supercomputers. https://lnkd.in/dH8DkZci

Traditionally, service calls have to cross a network boundary, introducing latency and wasting CPU on encoding and decoding. In Unison Cloud, we can "bring the service code to the caller", eliminating all that and making service calls almost as efficient as a local function call! This means the Unison Cloud service graph is adaptive, reconfiguring itself to dynamically colocate services that are communicating regularly. This reduces latency, I/O, and CPU and spent on encoding/decoding logic.
