Expose the Cruelty of Animal Farming!! ???????????????????? In Defense of Animals is working to end the exploitation of farmed animals and bring this suffering into the light. Pigs are emotionally complex and intelligent animals, yet they are subjected to unimaginable cruelty. Piglets endure painful mutilations like tail docking and teeth clipping without anesthesia, all before being shipped off to slaughter. Your gift today will push for stronger laws to ban the use of cruel farming practices. Together, we can dismantle the system that causes their suffering and build a future where all animals are treated with the respect and compassion they deserve. https://lnkd.in/e2kZuSay

Friday thoughts... So, why did I become a volunteer at A Good Thing (UK)? Well, let me tell you—I’ve seen firsthand just how much donations can change the game for small charities. But it’s not as simple as just passing stuff along. Finding the right charity at the right time and giving them exactly what they need? It’s trickier than it sounds—kind of like figuring out where those extra IKEA screws go! And to be honest, most businesses don’t always have the time for that. That’s where A Good Thing steps in. We help businesses turn their surplus—whether it’s leftover construction materials, unused PPE, or that mountain of office supplies collecting dust—into valuable donations for charities across the UK. It’s a win-win: you reduce waste, make a real impact in local communities, and feel good knowing you’ve made a difference! A huge thank you to PDI International for their incredible support, and to all the other businesses helping us grow stronger every day. We’re expanding rapidly, but we couldn’t do it without your partnership and dedication. Your business could be the next one on the list—join our community today. https://lnkd.in/ekC-BzKC
Our mission is to "Be the Difference"—making a positive impact in our local communities. Thanks to the incredible support of A Good Thing (UK), we’re proud to have donated our wipes to help an even wider community. This time, we're thrilled to support the Redhead Rescues Animal Sanctuary in Kettering! ???? Let’s reflect on our responsibility to all animals. Dogs, with their wagging tails and soulful eyes, remind us of our deep connection to the non-human world. Their joy, fear, love, and curiosity make it clear that animals have rich inner lives, experiencing the world in their own unique ways. This understanding extends beyond dogs to all creatures. Each animal, from the smallest insect to the largest whale, has their own perspective and deserves our respect and care. For homeless dogs, sterilization and vaccination are acts of compassion. These practices prevent suffering, control populations humanely, and protect both animal and human health. By choosing adoption over breeding, we give loving homes to dogs in need and reduce the strain on shelters. Today, let’s commit to treating all animals with kindness. Whether in our homes, on the streets or wildlife, they enrich our world and remind us of the beauty and diversity of life on Earth. Donate to make a difference at https://lnkd.in/ggT_uGRX Magic Marble Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, working globally to help create a kinder world for both humans and non-humans #MagicMarbleFoundation #AdoptDontShop #SpayandNeuter #Dogs #RescueDogs #AnimalRights #HereWithUs

???The Fairbetter Fund: Supporting North Carolina Farmers After Hurricane Helene In the wake of Hurricane Helene, many farmers in Western North Carolina are facing immense challenges. Flooding has wiped out fencing infrastructure and winter hay supplies, leaving farms struggling to care for their livestock. How We're Helping:?The Fairbetter Fund is stepping in to provide immediate relief. Thanks to the generosity of local farmers in central NC, we’ve sourced over 3,000 large of hay and have coordinated with NC Ag extension offices to distribute them. That number is growing weekly. These essential supplies are being delivered to designated drop points, helping farmers feed their animals through the spring of 2025. Your Donations Matter:?Your contributions will go directly towards purchasing hay and paying NC-based truck drivers to deliver it. Every dollar helps to stabilize these farms in the short term. In most cases these farms of the backbone of our rural economies here in North Carolina. The disappearance of these farms would mean negative downstream effects for the entire state. Looking Ahead:?This is just the start. Our goal is to establish The Fairbetter Fund as a long-term safety net for North Carolina farms affected by natural disasters. We’re have also partnered with?Imagine Ministry, a Garner-based nonprofit, to receive tax-deductible donations. Spreading the word can be as helpful as donating to this cause. Thank you for your support of North Carolina’s agricultural community. For ways to donate please visit: www.fairbetterfund.org

2 Old Women Did What I Was Afraid To Do Today I rescued a hawk. I called Animal Control, and was referred to a non-profit wildlife rescue center. I drove the hawk to the center, where it is now being cared for. But I could not have done it without the help of two women, age 75+, in my neighborhood. Although I have captured injured birds in the past and taken them for rehabilitation, I was hesitant with a hawk. The woman at the non-profit rescue center was extremely firm about protecting myself. Fortunately, two "elderly" neighbors who had experience helping all kinds of injured wildlife over their lives, were willing to get the injured hawk into an animal carrier if I was willing to drive it 15 miles out to the rescue center. I would like to think that I would have done the whole thing if they had not been involved. I think so, but it would have been scary and nerve-wracking. This event is a simple illustration of why we need to value the experience that comes with age. We also need to value multigenerational relationships because we all bring something important to the table--we give and receive and we are all better for it. ?? What examples do you have to share? -of the power of age in your self or others? -of multiple generations helping each other? #ageispower #ageism #olderadult #multigenerational #elderly #valueoldage

Have some good news <3
EVERY????KENNEL????EMPTY???? We are shocked, grateful, overjoyed, humbled, and PROUD of the way our community showed up for the animals in need in Dorchester County. There are officially NO DOGS & NOT CATS left on campus at Dorchester Paws???? We’re so grateful for those of you who have opened your home to be a Storm Foster, to keep an innocent animal safe from the flood waters as they rise, and providing a warm loving place to land for a few days??

I am taking the liberty to share the letter from the Buffalo Field Campaign's latest newsletter. "We the People” Must Stand Up for the Sacred Buffalo Once again, we are witnessing the direct impact the government's plan has on buffalo’s natural behavior. After either killing or removing almost one-third of the entire Yellowstone population last winter, the buffalo no longer migrate to their National Forest winter range unless survival compels them to move. With little snow falling this winter, no buffalo have migrated into Gardiner basin. In Hebgen basin, less than 30 buffalo have migrated with 18 hunted or harvested on the National Forest, and the rest retreating to where they cannot be taken. We often forget that Yellowstone's Central herd started with 23 buffalo, survivors of the 30 to 60 million that once roamed wild across North America. The Yellowstone ecosystem is a high-elevation plateau. To survive winter, buffalo must migrate to the river valleys and basins in Montana. The buffalo have no future under this Montana livestock industry plan that manages for their extinction in the state. It is time we take a good hard look at what the buffalo need to secure a future for them. It hurts my heart to watch these buffalo change their lifeways just to avoid extinction. It is time that "We the People" stand up for these sacred beings. We need to honor the original animals and peoples by treating their long-term needs for survival with a sense of urgency, and as our highest priority. With the Buffalo, Mike Mease Campaign Coordinator ++++ I have been following their amazing work for some time and just wanted to share this latest update. Apparently, about one-third of the Yellowstone population of Buffalo were killed last winter. And so now, the buffalo no longer migrate to their National Forest winter range unless survival compels them to move. We will be holding the Yellowstone Buffalo in our next #ecologicalhealingcircle for sure, along with the #RightWhales, and the Swiss #Wolves. So many creatures are being harmed. #ecologicalhealingcircle https://lnkd.in/eXYKTAZv

????Did you know that this week was Animal Shelter Appreciation Week? ???? Well, now let's show some appreciation for the incredible work they/you do! If you're an animal rescue or shelter, you might feel like your funding is shaky, unreliable, and that tomorrow is never guaranteed. You are so not alone!? Did you know that #AnimalShelters and #SPCAs are under immense financial strain, relying heavily on private donations to cover the costs of abandoned pets as municipal funding and philanthropy continues to fall short. I know, it's heavy. But it's not doomed. Things are changing, with movements like #OneHealth getting people to see the interconnection between the work they do for animals and how it also supports the overall community. ?? If you'd like to learn more about how these essential organizations have a special set of fundraising limitations, read the article here: https://vist.ly/3mkjts7 Who is your favorite animal rescue or shelter and why? Show them some love in the comments, I would love to learn about their work! #AnimalShelterAppreciationWeek #AnimalWelfare #AnimalRights #AnimalProtection #FortheAnimals #Pets #Fundraising #FundraisingConsultant
