You won’t see me here on LinkedIn today, on Tuesday 11th of June – or any other Tuesday in the near future. I, and many other users, are protesting against this platform’s #censorship and constraints to #freedomofexpression around the violent occupation in Palestine and connected issues. ?? ?? ?? ?????????? Countless advocates for ending this genocide have been ousted, restricted and #shadowbanned, including myself, for nothing more than telling the #truth. LinkedIn is targeting anyone who reports facts and truth about this inhumanity and asks for institutional accountability. The negative publicity they are attracting with this arbitrary policy largely outweighs the benefits generated by leaving open space to Zionist propaganda. This stance does not make even #businesssense, as it tarnishes their corporate #reputation as a ‘professional’ social platform. A professional platform should not filter arbitrarily content based on #politicalbias. Professional users have good enough capacity and judgement to select and support content they like seeing, based on the choices they have made about who to follow and how they react to content they see. There is no need for platform moderation to filter content based on their own political stance. LinkedIn users are not supposed to be politically aligned with the beliefs of the platform ownership. This is not a partisan platform, it is supposed to be a #free social media platform. Who would store their personal and sensitive data on a platform that actively promotes arbitrary political censorship and is politically aligned? Who would invest time and resources into building a communication campaign on this platform if this can be affected by arbitrary and opaque decisions by platform moderations. This has to stop. Immediately. For the sake of the business future of this platform and the protection of our #freedomofspeech. We request that these restrictive policies are abandoned and those penalised users be returned to the platform and not harassed, restricted or down prioritised in the algorithm. We all have experienced how much we have been unfairly targeted, including myself. I know this from personal experience, for which I have irrefutable #factualevidence I am willing to share with interested parties and the press. Every week tens of thousands of LinkedIn users around the world see this message, react and comment, as a testimony this is a real issue for many people, even if this is a challenging topic to talk about. A professional social media platform cannot promote censorship and forced political alignment, it goes against their professional ethos and reputation, apart from their business interest. #NoLinkedInTuesday Human Rights Watch ARTICLE 19 Freedom House FIDH - International Federation for Human Rights Democracy Now! Social media can be a doubleedged sword in politics, both amplifying support and promoting misinformation. As politicians lean into memes and viral trends, they must also consider the broader implications. #SocialMediaImpact #PoliticalCampaigns #DigitalPolitics

An excellent read. Venue assessment, training, communication, technology. All vital aspects to keeping people safe from terrorism.
It was a pleasure to write a short piece for Security Journal UK (SJUK) about Martyn's Law and how I am hopeful this will be enacted in UK legislation before the eighth anniversary of the Manchester Arena terror attack, on 22 May 2025. You can read my piece alongside 24 others who have been included in the Security Journal UK's 2025 Influencers Edition on pages 38-65 here - https://lnkd.in/eMim8QTt
