Is this the Future of Golf? If you haven’t seen or heard about it yet, The TGL Golf League started this week… TGL was founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and aims to combine traditional golf with cutting edge technology ?? I watched most of the first event yesterday on catchup and here’s my thoughts: ?? It’s much quicker than ‘real golf’, with lots going on, so that was interesting! ?? The biggest in golf names playing it, always draws people in and will generate interest. ?? I don’t know all the rules (still don’t know what a ‘hammer’ is), but do I need to? ?? Loved the buzz around the indoor stadium and I’d probably enjoy it for an evening out with several light refreshments ?? ?? 100% it will engage a new audience into golf and am certain if it’s marketed correctly, places like Topgolf will see an uptick in people having a go… which is great as this will then likely progress a few into real golf. I liked it, didn’t think I would, but I did and can see me dipping in and out of it for 30 mins or so! Will it be the TwentyTwenty or Hundred for golf? I think it can be ??
