Let's not kid anyone.... It's tough being an artist in today's society. Society doesn't always value the work of creatives as it should. Then you've got the relentless need to self-market, the loneliness and inner battles such as self-doubt, imposter syndrome, creative blockages and financial woes. At GRIT we recognise the importance of community. There's rarely a problem or challenge that hasn't been encountered by someone else. At our studios, we hold regular 'GRIT Togethers' for our artists, where people share problems, share opportunities, share collaborations and help each other. Our community is made up of different skills, personalities, strengths, weaknesses and insecurities, but everyone brings value to the table and together they are a formidable team. The more people in our community, the stronger the tribe. Luckily our community is growing. Here's a recent snap from one of our GRIT Togethers. It's been amazing to watch the magic happen, as artists develop their creative practise.

Ever asked yourself what you want to do and what you want to share with the world? Yesterday, I put up a post sharing a tool that has helped me over the last 3.5 years. Being an #Exhorter, who naturally wants to see the best in people, and also a Server why, who sees a need and wants to fulfill it, means I have been known to get dragged into all sorts. Yesterday, I had a few people DM me showing their interest in the latest initiative I announced. Here it is again, https://lnkd.in/enjNSgxC One person said, I know you do not want to monetize it. Why don't you package this properly and sell it as potentially this could be huge, then proceeded to say she could introduce me to others and asked me if I would be compensating the facilitators. So to avoid any doubt. Let me spell, these workshops are not for those for whom money is their driver. It is also not for those who are not willing to invest in themselves and are not prepared to put in the effort. Why I was originally looking for those who are volunteering their time to help our brothers and sisters who are caught in the conflict. As previously stated, they are fun networking sessions where we will play a few games, question the status quo in a #safe environment where you get to share your #superpower with others. Here comes the surprise: For those who have missed my husband Richard Tsoukala, He has kindly offered to host both sessions and I will be doing the storytelling bit. We have two times and dates, GMT Timezone.
