What fun to be able to introduce my colleagues to Charm Industrial and Patch on a ‘field trip’ to Charm’s San Francisco facility! These two innovative companies are part of Oliver Wyman’s new Climate Leadership Portfolio, which serves as a way for us to contribute to – and learn more about – scaling the carbon market. Colleague engagement is at the core of the design of the Portfolio, as is collaboration. During this afternoon outing we were able to see first-hand how Patch (a marketplace) and Charm (a supplier within that marketplace) work together alongside the other innovators in the space, like CarbonCure Technologies (another supplier in the OW Portfolio). Scaling these engineered carbon removal solutions will be critical in helping to address the climate crisis, as will investing in nature-based solutions, such as another initiative in our portfolio, the #MangroveBreakthrough and Global Mangrove Alliance, which we announced in December. It’s all-hands-on-deck for #climate. We need all available solutions, and we need to educate ourselves alongside the innovators in the space to enable them to scale. I'm looking forward to building great relationships with our new partners this year and introducing them to my Oliver Wyman colleagues near and far!
