What the hell does the ACPN Council do, anyway? Turns out it's A LOT. There are five different subcouncils, and every person on the council is on at least two of those subcouncils. The council is busy year-round, but we kick off each year with two days of in-person planning meetings right after the conference, and then we really get busy. There is at least 200 years of industry experience in this picture. Ten humans with different personalities, skillsets, and opinions. I'm forever baffled about how it works so well. Thank you to these brilliant volunteers who bring their A games every day, and do what they say they're going to do. Thank you to the companies who employ us, and encourage and facilitate (even just tolerate) the time and effort we donate to this community. Thank you to the Auto Care Association for hosting and providing support. And thank you most of all to the larger ACPN community, to whom this time and effort is willingly donated. We rely on your feedback and what you tell us about what you're experiencing in your work. We work for you. This year we're drawn to a theme of evolution. Specifically, the Evolution of the Content Professional. Change is coming for all of us, but knowledge sharing and collaboration are our secret weapons. We will come out on top. Just wrapped up a fantastic couple of days at the #LMCC conference! As a Product Manager for multiple library marketing solutions, it was an incredible opportunity to connect with libraries, hear their stories, and gain invaluable insights into their challenges and aspirations. After years of hard work, we have removed the roadblocks that used to prevent adding recovery modalities into your facilities at scale.” False. Commercial code requires the following: -Connection to sewer & fresh water with pressure relief zone valves for plumbing hook ups -ADA compliant -NSF certified equipment Questions you should ask your vendor if you’re considering adding cold tubs to your commercial facility: -Do you have any DoH or CDC permitted installs? -Is the tub ADA compliant? -Is the plumbing and water treatment equipment NSF certified? -Does the tub include or accept Pressure Relief Zone valves for plumbing hook ups (so that sewage can’t back up into the tub). -Can I legally have customers share bath water with an unpermitted tub, or -If it’s a public amenity, do I need to recycle the water between bathers, aka fill and dump? -If it’s a fill and dump tub, does it need to be permitted with the local municipality and connected to water and sewer? #provemewrong Ryan Duey #sharktank
