Being invited to be the only vendor at a post Dealer 20 meeting for dinner and hang meant a lot. Why? Because it felt like Adrian Gibbs knew I valued genuine relationships, and knew that I wasn’t going to pitch her people. Was it a little hard to sit there at dinner and listen to how frustrated some were by their slow, clunky, pop up heavy websites? Yes ?? big time. It was painful a bit lol. I mean, Team MXS has solutions for every single thing they are struggling with, and of course I want my dealer friends (new & old) to not have those issues. Friends help friends with problems, period. And you want your friends to have the best, right? More importantly though, I always want my network and friends to trust me. To understand I’m not just someone slinging a product — but someone that will help them (even outside of work) and that I want to get to know them as people. Because I care… …About their frustrations, their regular life, their day to day goals in/out of work, and this industry as a whole. And even if my dealer friends never buy a website from me/us, that I’ll still value our friendship the same. Bc networking shouldn’t just be about the deals. Your relationships should be valued more than the value of a deal made or not. Isn’t that how it should be? Or am I crazy? ?? I’m new to sales, so maybe I’m wrong? But even I get vendors approaching me and 99% of the time it just feels so fake. They could care less about my life, how I’m doing or if their product genuinely helps as long as they get paid. And if I don’t buy, poof — they’re gone. I hate it. I’m just not wired that way. Anyways, it was an incredible time getting to know more folks from our epic industry. We had a blast. It feels like I made a few more friends for life! Thank you Adrian for bringing me into your circle and trusting me ??
