What an inspiring few days in Los Angeles with TFA’s CEO, Elisa Villanueva Beard, and LA's very own Executive Director, Lida Jennings, MBA, EdD! It was a privilege to bring together alumni, board members, and community champions for powerful conversations about this unique moment in education, our collective impact, and our role in expanding educational opportunities for all students. We gathered a dynamic group of TFA alumni in the South Bay for an evening of connection and conversation, and brought together board members, longtime supporters, and visionary leaders for an informative and impactful luncheon. Together, we reflected on TFA’s evolution and explored the big questions shaping our work: How has Teach For America evolved over 35 years? What are the most pressing trends in education today—both nationally and here in LA? Where are the bright spots; how can we build on them? How are we continuing to meet the needs of our communities? As we look ahead, the path forward is clear: we must work together to transform education for the next generation. Whether you’re a teacher, leader, policymaker, or supporter, there’s a role for all of us in this movement. Let’s continue building on what's working, tackling the challenges, and ensuring every child has the opportunities they deserve.
