Assess the suitability of sales products by aligning them with the client's investment objectives. Engage with potential customers, focusing on achieving high-quality lead conversions. Proactively follow up on leads assigned by the Sales Head, providing progress reports and proposing mitigation plans as necessary. Collaborate closely with the Sales Head to meet sales objectives. Contribute to team performance by sharing and implementing best practices. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by disseminating learnings and good practices across teams. Requirements: Education: A graduate degree is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a sales environment, preferably in proactive telemarketing within the BFSI/Finance sector. Language Skills: Fluency in English, Hindi, and proficiency in at least one regional language. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with exemplary telephone etiquette. Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in tasks. Flexibility: Willingness to work extra hours occasionally to complete tasks and attend company meetings outside normal working hours (approximately one per month). Availability: Immediate joining preferred, with specified batch dates provided. Knowledge: Familiarity with the equities market is considered an advantage. Sales and customer-facing roles are often seen through a narrow lens, with many industries considering candidates as ‘freshers’ if they don’t come from the same background. But is that really the right approach? From my experience, what truly matters in sales is persistence and focus. I’ve had a diversified career—starting in liquor, moving to telecom, then banking, and now fintech. Each of these roles demanded different skills, yet I thrived because I focused on learning the products and mastering the art of selling them. I still remember my interview with the Cluster Head in Mumbai for a banking role. He asked me, ‘You don’t have any experience in banking, how will you manage?’ My response was simple: ‘In the liquor industry, I sold liquor; in telecom, I sold SIM cards; here, I’ll learn and sell financial products.’ I was hired, and it’s been a rewarding journey since. The point is, many companies overlook candidates just because their CV doesn’t match the current KRA.
