So, what's making waves Salesforce Revenue Cloud these days????? Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) might just be the key to unlocking smoother, simpler end-to-end revenue processes. But how could this more flexible, integrated approach help your business? And how does it stack up against the tried-and-true CPQ package? While we can likely expect more changes and updates right around the corner, given all of the features from the latest Winter '25 Release, here’s what we know about RLM so far ?? https://hubs.ly/Q02VbjQ00

Revenue Cloud usage-based products were just added in Winter '25. I've updated my Revenue Cloud Guide to include info that's not yet posted in Salesforce documentation. Some key points: For instructions, you'll need to look up both Rate Management and Usage Selling. Usage selling is only compatible with evergreen products. As with pricing, you'll set up a Rating Procedure and a Rating Discovery Procedure. The documentation tells you to set your Default Usage Procedure in Setup to the wrong one -- you need to set it to Default Rating Discovery Procedure (and you must name it exactly that). You must add a new field to the Product layout: Usage Model Type. This is a picklist with invisible values. If your product is a bundle parent or if you will charge for an overage, set it to Anchor. Otherwise, set it to Pack. You need a custom permission set assigned to your sales users. Add Read/Edit perms to these objects: * Product Usage Grant * Usage Grant Renewal Policies * Usage Grant Rollover Policies * Usage Resources Be sure to add this Permission Set License to your User record:? Usage: Design User You need to create records on these objects, which are not mentioned in the documentation: * Product Usage Grant * Price Book Rate Card A Product Usage Grant describes what comes with a usage product. For example, a Voice Plan might come with 500 Minutes. A Price Book Rate Card is a junction object that ties your Rate Cards to your Price Book You need a Usage Resource record for every usage product you have. Once you have your usage product, product selling model, price book entry, rate card, rate card entry, price book rate card, product usage grant, usage resource, unit of measure class, unit of measure, and usage resource billing policy records, you must update four decision tables: * Price Book Entries v2 * Rate Card Entries * Price Book Rate Card Entries * Rate Card Entry Resolution Entries It’s best to refresh these tables individually, rather than using the Sync button, so you don’t max out your limit of 20 refreshes per hour.
