I had an amazing time attending Round 15 of Formula E at the London E-Prix!
Formula E is a success story in terms of #fanengagement and #brandactivation. The entire venue was essentially a brand activation for Formula E itself. As someone who recognizes brand assets, I was blown away by the impact created through the striking deep blue, squiggle brand pattern details, and bold fonts with attention-grabbing messages. The brand was seamlessly integrated into the lighting, signage, and merchandise. The event was buzzing with energy; it genuinely felt electric. ??
The race was a spectacle, with a certain level of showmanship that made it feel like a party. The choice of ‘Thunderstruck’ as a hype song with the track/venue lights going out just before the green lights did, turning on to the beat, was amazing. It was entertaining, the racing action was close, and it was all accessible to fans for a low ticket price. ??
This was the first Formula E event I had watched live, and I was amazed by everything there was to see. From a #sportsmarketing perspective, here are some key takeaways from the event:

Racing simulators, remote control mini track racing, and reaction time test activity machines (something I, as an F1 fan, have always wanted to try) offered fans immersive experiences.

Street performers walking the crowds and an indoor concert in the Fan Village created a festival-like atmosphere that got everyone excited to be there. The 3-hour gap between qualifying and the race was practically unnoticeable with all that there was to see and do.
