Hey LinkedIn! It's been a fun whirlwind getting up to speed in my new role, but I'm back with another clip from #TheGreenBantern ?? This clip is from a refreshingly honest chat with my friend and compatriot during the job-seeking journey, Austin D. Carter. Austin's a seasoned sales leader with an incredible track record (like building pandemic-proof sales teams!), and he shares his insights on what truly drives success. A few key takeaways that I hope y'all, especially job seekers, find useful: 1?? "By the time we're having a conversation, there's a reason why we're having this conversation." He also shares his core drivers when considering opportunities, which is a useful exercise to help tailor your job search. 2?? His proudest professional achievement? Being the first sales hire and building the resilient sales engine at a PR/marketing agency focused on tech startups and VC firms. His claim to fame? Surviving the epic WeWork saga during its infamous party days! ??? 3?? The willingness to fail, try new things, and gather continuous feedback is what has allowed him to build resilient sales teams. As Austin wisely stated, "Fail fast, but double down when something works." Feel free to connect with him on any relevant opportunities, and please consider engaging with this post to maximize reach! #SalesOpportunities #Podcast #JobSeekingAdvice

I intentionally tanked my impressions...and business went up. After 3 years of posting, being able to average 30, 40, 60k a week in impressions wasn't hard to do. But does it always turn to revenue? "pom-pom" posts, or just general truths about recruiting get can great engagement. But doesn't always mean it generates revenue. What I worked on over the summer was really honing in on my Ideal Client Profile...and talking direclty to them. That narrowed who in my network would resonate. AKA the drop in impressions. BUT, the impressions I did get, my ICP was all-in and paying attention. And with that, I've had the highest QUALITY of discovery calls ever. Past leads have come up, new ones have come up, all looking for help with the same problem. Automation and content. And that's the ICP. Helping recruiters become more efficient and effective (aka more profitable) through leveraging automation and content correctly. So if you're wondering why you're content isn't resonating. Worry less about impressions and more about your "ideal 100" ICP. And talk to them directly. Your bottom line will thank you.

Networking for introverts is kind of scary It can be fun, and I’ve learned in my own journey how fulfilling it can be, but getting started takes some energy The Career PROgressions podcast by Mark Allred, ACC, CPLC, CGC is great overall for job seekers, and this episode specifically applies to all of us even if you feel comfortable in your role My takeaways: 1?? Network now. Make a new connection. If you see a connection in my network you’d like to meet, ask. Embrace the opportunity with curiosity to learn more than to seek a job. 2?? Build ambassadors. People who speak for you when you aren’t in the room. Heck, BE an ambassador. Help others. It’s enriching and often rewarding in and of itself. 3?? Have a Plan A and be brave enough to forget your Plan B. Admittedly, this is my own work in progress… https://lnkd.in/emBBcV5u
