Forget robots stealing jobs. The real opportunity with AI is… Chatting with a colleague the other day about AI and automation, and it got me thinking… It's easy to get caught up in the "robots taking our jobs" narrative, but honestly, I see it differently. In my experience, AI is more about augmenting what we do. It can handle the tedious stuff, freeing us up for more creative, strategic work. The key? Embrace lifelong learning and focus on those uniquely human skills like critical thinking and communication. What are your thoughts on this? #AI #Automation #FutureOfWork #Skills #Tech

The has been a lot of discussion on the topic on AI in the workforce and business use lately. I do think that it will be a great tool and it will be ever changing the landscape of how we get things done but one glaring thing that comes to mind when I hear about it. Individualism AI can't replicate me. AI can't replicate my network. AI can't replicate my skills as a scale technician. AI can't replicate my personality. AI can't replicate my quirks (good & bad) Don't get overlooked in a sea of robots. Be #YOUnique What do you think? Is AI going to take over and am I just missing it? #WTRail #AlwayaBetterWeigh #RailScaleCertification #RailScale PS: Maybe AI can fix LinkedIn's images quality. It still is horrendous.

As AI continues to inspire innovators and scare static actors I'm left reflecting on a piece of Theater History worth considering.?? During and After the Industrial Revolution many would have had to consolidate their approach to work. ?? Yes, machines replaced many jobs?? BUT, have you ever seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? For context, Charlie's Dad was set to lose his assembling job at the Chocolate factory. Replaced by a Robot ?? In the End, it was revealed that after learning a new skill he got the job fixing the machine when it breaks down. Notice how the need for Human Work wasn't removed but a new need revealed. The need to up-skill.???? This theatrical example is heavy to consider but is a source of hope. AI doesn't have to replace you but you should seek the skills to remain in demand in an AI driven World. Actionable Advice in an unlikely place. What a great Movie!?? #Charlieandthechocolatefactory #chocolateandeducation #skillearning #careerdevelopmemt #workforcedevelopment #adulteducation #Industrialrevolution #AIdevelopment #AIWORKFORCEPREPARATION

As Hardi Patorvi, CEO of Code (dot) org, puts it, "The risk isn't people losing their job to AI; it's losing their job to somebody else who knows how to use AI." ?? This quote highlights the competitive edge AI knowledge provides. He added, "It's not that the worker gets replaced by just a robot or a machine in most cases, especially for desk jobs; it's that some better educated or more modernly educated worker can do that job because they can be twice as productive or three times as productive." True also for algorithms and the other depersonalized gating games disguised as standard business processes
