This deep dive really centers around information overload. Ohh, which I think we can all relate to. You know, we're bombarded with just tons of messages, documents, data all the time, and it's really hard to find the information we need when we need it. Yeah, it's like drinking from a fire hose, Right? You know, it's out there. Yeah. But how do you actually get to it? Exactly? And that's the challenge that System One was facing. They have, you know, a lot of really smart people working on very complicated projects. And they needed a way to make sure that everyone had access to the right knowledge, OK at the right time. So tell me they didn't just create, like, a shared folder. No, they weren't way beyond that. They actually built a custom Slack bot powered by AI. OK. And what's really cool about this is that the bot doesn't just search for keywords. Yeah, it actually understands the context of the questions. OK, and can pull answers from their company's knowledge base. Hold on, how does it understand? Yeah, like how does a bot understand? So that's where something called retrieval augmented generation comes in, right? It's a technique that combines the power of large language models, or LM's, right with a company's own internal knowledge. It's like giving the LM a CHEAT SHEET. Got it. That's specific to system ones knowledge base. So instead of searching the entire. Internet. Yeah, it's pulling from their internal Confluence documents. Yeah. OK, so it has like a specific CHEAT SHEET, right. Of all their internal docs. Exactly. OK, but how do they use it? Yeah, so they made it super user friendly. OK, they have a Slack bot. So let's say you're an engineer and you have a question about a specific project. Yeah, all you have to do is mention the bots name in a slack channel, type your question and then the bot takes care of the rest and then the answer appears right there in the Slack channel so you don't have to go searching, right? No more digging. Through emails or files or waiting for someone to get back to you. Yeah. It's all about instant access to the information they need. So they basically created this digital brain, right, Of their own company knowledge that's accessible. Yeah, in a way that they're already using. It's a really elegant solution to a problem I think a lot of companies have. What if everyone had all the info, right? Like, no more silos. It could foster a culture of transparency and collaboration and continuous learning. It could also empower employees. Yeah. To just get things done right. Instead of waiting for an answer, they can find it themselves. Yeah. And make decisions faster. So it's really about a better work experience. It is, yeah. It's not just about making information accessible. Yeah. It's about creating a more efficient and fulfilling work environment.
