This gruesome discovery should come as no surprise. An excerpt from my December 2017 article illustrates: “Another, more ominous example is the emerging report revealing some EU governments’ complicity in the human trafficking and slave trade in Libya: ‘European governments are knowingly complicit in the torture and abuse of tens of thousands of refugees and migrants detained by Libyan immigration authorities in appalling conditions in Libya.’ The report highlights ‘…how European governments are actively supporting a sophisticated system of abuse and exploitation of refugees and migrants by the Libyan Coast Guard, detention authorities and smugglers in order to prevent people from crossing the Mediterranean.’ ‘Where is the world?’ Among numerous other questions that could also be asked are: How have we allowed this to happen in 2017? [and now, 2023?] Why have protests and decisive action been negligible from other governments? Have the rise of populism and far right extremism in the west contributed to the apparent disregard for the persecution of the ‘other’? The Arab and Muslim world are not exempt from scrutiny on this issue. They have also contributed to the ominous silence regarding Libya… There is no justification for what is taking place.”

THIS is what impunity looks like folks. The Israeli army continues to commit callous acts of savagery even knowing that the vast prevalence of smart phones these days is ubiquitous. They know FULL WELL that with the advent of smart phones, everyone is practically a Journalist these days because all they have to do is whip out their phones and press record to bear witness. YET IN STILL, they continue to do things that BLATANTLY violate international law, common decency, and human civility & compassion. Do you know why? Because they know the international community is not going to do anything about it. Let this serve as a lesson to America & the international community. When you create a monster and/or allow that monster to fester, that monster has to be constantly fed. He will continue to exact his pound of flesh wherever he sees fit, because again that monster & his ego has to be fed. Reminds me of Hi t l e r honestly. He ran total roughshod over Europe & Russia. Literally blazed a path of terror & destruction across Europe & Russia for years until we said ENOUGH! Until we banded together to put a stop to him. The only thing that can stop inherently bad people like him is good people. From Donald Trump to BiBi to H i t l e r, all of their rhetoric sounds eerily similar. If you listen closely to all 3 of their speeches, they sound eerily similar. They all use classism to divide us, they all use fear to achieve their rabid dogma, and they spread lies & fake news & propaganda with deadly precision. When are we going to wake up and realize that history IS LITERALLY repeating itself.
