The Lord Jesus Christ doesn't save those who are TRYING to be saved or those who are HELPING HIM to save them; but rather, those who are TRUSTING HIM ?? alone for salvation. Salvation is receiving by simple FAITH, not achieving by our own works. Salvation is a GIFT proposition, not an REWARD proposition! For salvation, we don’t earn or maintain heaven by our own self-righteous works/human self efforts/self reformation/behavior/changed lifestyle/religious performance/how we live/how good we really are etc. We get salvation the biblical way aka grace through faith alone in Jesus’ finished redemptive Cross-work alone. To be saved instantly forever, TRUST in God the Son, Jesus Christ who is God Almighty manifest in the sinless flesh, and then, without doing our own works, without saying how good we really are, or without earning/maintaining anything, simply BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary (HIS one time full payment/blood sacrifice) for your sins, and that HE was buried, and that HE bodily rose again from the dead the third day for your justification according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 1:13-14 & 2:8-9; Acts 4:10-12, 16:30-31; Romans 1:16, 3:22-28, 4:4-5, 6:23 & 11:6; John 3:14-18, 36, 5:24, 6:28-29, 40, 47, 14:6 & 19:30; 1 John 5:9-13 KJB).
