Ball Trays are available for those desiring a more conventional rubber ball anti-blinding arrangement. A coarse screen is mounted two inches below the sizing screen. Elastomeric balls are placed on this coarse support screen and the separator’s vibrating action bounces the balls against the underside of the screen cloth of the working mesh, dislodging any near-size particles. We are coming along nicely with the car. Here at Steve Millers shop this morning modifying the header openings to suit the Alan Johnson heads. Not only did we put in a new short block and change heads, but we’ve made other improvements to the car. The heads are more of a standard fuel head configuration and have increased cc volume, giving us more compression than we had before unbeknownst to us. We expect a big performance gain. Here is the Permatex product breakdown that is used in the motor: Permatex Red RTV Silicone High Temp gasket maker to glue the oil pan gasket to the pan Permatex Threadlocker Orange High Strength Removable Gel on front of the motor fasteners including bottom pulley. Blue will work fine if that’s what you have. Permatex Threadlocker Green on blower nuts, as they only get torqued to 13 lbs. It’s very convenient because you simply apply a few drops after the nuts are tightened.
