As summer winds down and we move past the Labor Day holiday, I am pleased to share with you the latest edition of Arka Express's Ship Happens Newsletter (Edition 45). Reflecting on the past few years, it’s clear that navigating the volatility and complexities of the supply chain, logistics, and transportation environment has not become any easier. Despite these challenges, we have discovered who our strongest partners are, standing with us through the hardships we face together. In the past 12 months, we are proud to have grown our full truckload deliveries by 26% compared to the same period last year. Just a few weeks ago, we achieved a major milestone by completing over 3,000 deliveries in a single week for the first time in our company’s history. Although our operating ratios are strained—like every other company in the industry—we have still seen a 10%+ growth in revenue, which is needed to support our expanding fleet. While the pace hasn’t fully met our aspirations, we have become more efficient and continue to invest in our people, facilities, technology, and equipment to offset the challenges we face. We look forward to having you join us on this journey as we embark on some exciting and valuable projects on the horizon. Early on, I searched for the best way to offer my dispatch services to carriers. Cold calling was a challenge (and sometimes even a bit humorous), but it taught me perseverance.
