We often talk about the promise of the #bioeconomy for reaching net zero, but how do we ensure that the biomass we need to fuel this change doesn't adversely affect our environment? ?? I'm excited to announce that I'll be moderating another panel on sustainable sourcing for biomass to discuss how we successfully integrate ESG practices into the production of #Imgreenbiobased, and how we can go beyond this. I'll be joined by experts in the field from Bonsucro and SUSTCERT4BIOBASED, as well as internal experts in Braskem; Loek Verwijst Rafael Marques Seixas Elaine Santana Martin Clemesha. Helping to shape a positive future for plastics in the net-zero circular economy
3 个月I’ve learnt from Elaine Santana that environmental and social impacts can’t be considered separately because we are all part of the same ecosystem. From Loek Verwijst, I fully agree that in our sector, the criteria laid down in article 29 of the Renewable Energy Directive should be the main reference, and that companies should strive to go beyond them as a sustainable competitive advantage. And that brings me to Bonsucro’s Rafael Marques Seixas who explained how sustainability must add value to businesses and how Bonsucro follows ISEAL’s code. And you shined as usual, guiding us smoothly through the hour Anisa Jane Gallagher! #sustainability #bioeconomy #Imgreenbiobased
