On Wednesday, as part of the official #UNGA79 ?? side programming and during the peak of #ClimateWeek 2024 ??, SustainChain? hosted the marquee “The Final Countdown, A Summit of the Future” event at the Salesforce tower in New York City. Joined by world leaders, major technology allies, and a rapidly expanding global network of networks, SustainChain continues to cement its position as the world's first public utility platform for accelerating progress on climate action and sustainability. Co-hosted by strategic impact partner Salesforce, the US Coalition on Sustainability unveiled the latest development in its SustainChain product suite: Mission Control. Mission Control provides dynamic, real-time visualization of member action and progress on rebuilding their global supply chains across the SustainChain ecosystem, enabling decision-makers to identify potential initiatives to collaborate on or projects to fund. Network partners will have direct access to Mission Control in the coming weeks. Led by Founder Jacqueline Corbelli, Joanna Hall and Swathi Young, the event also featured an incredible lineup of groundbreaking advances in partnerships, collaboration, and growth. Additionally, the Coalition announced a civil society engagement app called CitizenChain that is coming soon and will be widely available in the new year. A huge THANK YOU to the co-hosts, partners, supporters, incredible speakers—and of course, all of the attendees for making this event a huge success. Farther, Faster, Together! ?? ?? That flew by. I mean, of course, the ClimateImpact conference. ?? Two days of connection, learning and soaking up expertise at a beautiful venue, The Royal Institution. Tremendous props to Stephen Murphy and his team for hosting such a great inaugural event as it certainly didn't feel brand new! Really wonderful to chat (however briefly) with: Anna Doucha, Dian Q., Joe Rodgers, Thusal B, Gunnlaugur Erlendsson, Elisabeth Iszauk, Miranda Silva, Alok Matta, Zara A., Noby Fujioka, Andrew Bruce ... (I've just realised there's a tag limit) And also to hear talks from so many industry, academia, and policy leaders in every facet of climate mitigation, human adaptation and funding, including: Rt Hon Chris Skidmore, Amanda Solloway, Freya Burton, Kristian R?nn, Bailey Morrow, Kim Zou, Benjamin Birnbaum, Natasha Fowlie, Rahul Parekh, Susan Barron, Ian Hogarth, Francesco Sciortino, Celestine Cheong, Raphael Güller, Jacob Nathan, Illai Gescheit, Rosie Wardle, Timo Recker, Roman Laus, Sarah Lucas, Anthony Chow, James Arbib, Stephen Fitzpatrick, John Browne and many, many more. There was also a hackathon, but I didn't manage to find strong group cohesion to complete — Regardless, the finalists were fantastic and the overall teamwork & tinkering energy of the event was very inspiring - in no small part due to the efforts of Ben Keene and team at EarthAI. ?? Buzzing. Onto the next! ?? #ClimateImpact #Startups #Innovation

??#ClimateWeekNYC 2024: What a Ride! This week was non-stop for the Climate Investment (CI) team, and we’re buzzing with excitement from all the incredible conversations and connections! ?? Not only did we field a large CI presence across the city all week to make sure we took in all the notable #climatetech events, but we also hosted two epic events of our own! A massive shoutout and THANK YOU to our co-hosts at Keyframe Capital, Piva Capital, Galvanize Climate Solutions, and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) —what a team effort! ?? ? ?? Our Tuesday breakfast was over-subscribed with standing room only for 150 attendees! ?? We showcased how Climate tech 2.0 is rising, with founders using the hard-won lessons of Cleantech 1.0 to scale tech that’s creating real impact today. It’s clear—the climate tech ecosystem has never been stronger and recent data is bearing that out, too! ? ?? Yesterday, we swapped boardrooms for a Padel court ??—and it didn’t disappoint! Around 70-90 late-stage investors joined us for some competitive fun, but the real win was the deep dive into bridging the “valley of death” that climate startups face. From scaling risks to collaboration, the energy around getting climate tech to scale was unstoppable. ? ?? Key Insights: ?Climate tech 2.0 is here—and it’s ready to scale. We need to urgently plug the missing middle funding. ?Collaboration across investors, founders, and stakeholders is critical for navigating the challenges ahead. ?The climate tech ecosystem is buzzing with activity, and we’re just getting started. ? We can’t wait to do it all again next year at #ClimateWeekNYC 2025. Let’s keep the momentum going! ??
