?? Happy Friday!?? We're excited to share some great results from our recent testing with Schuster Concrete! Schuster Concrete recently evaluated SusMaX's lightweight aggregate, SPORA, for internal curing applications. Two types of concrete mixes were prepared: a typical control mix and a mix with a 15% replacement of coarse aggregates using saturated SPORA. The SPORA-incorporated concrete achieved a 17% higher slump, enhancing workability due to SPORA's spherical shape and low surface-to-volume ratio. Additionally, SPORA-incorporated samples achieved 14% and 22% higher strength at 7 and 28 days, respectively. This increase in early-age strength is due to SPORA's 25% absorption capacity, providing extra water for cement hydration. These promising results highlight SusMaX's lightweight aggregate product potential to significantly improve concrete performance in internal curing applications.
Best of luck ????
