As the corporate world celebrates the yearly Customer Service Week: The best thing you can do for your business is reminding yourself that every one that encounters your business should have a wonderful experience that will make them remember you for a long time. I wrote about a tailor shop I visited and was welcomed with a cup of coffee, they’re stuck in my head, even though they are expensive. their excellent service, manners and warmth won my heart and opened my pocket. I read people fight with customers and give rude responses due to frustration and even when I try to understand, I still can’t. When you understand that your business cannot survive without your customers, then your approach need to be customer-centered. I love business people that ask their customers “how can I best serve you” and then go ahead to listen. They are likely to make more money than the one who is too eager to sell. And yes, you can’t tell customers to f*** off, never say rude words to people buying from you, treat them well and politely decline the sales if it is necessary.
