The TreadLite system is a lightweight, fall arrest temporary working platform. The system is easy to use and very adaptable, with the different components of the system being able to be used independently for many different fragile roof issues. If the roof sheeting is strong, then falls through skylights can be prevented by fitting steel spars across the purlins and locking trellis mats over them. The farmer's son and a strange relationship with Health & Safety while rebuilding a Triumph Spitfire. It’s always worth considering what makes us do stupid things. In my work environment, I will follow company policy as you would hope, being IOSH trained, and responsible for health & Safety at work. The right process, the right tool, and the right time. Back on the farm, I was showing my brother how to use a chainsaw, and lecturing him on what to wear, he kindly pointed out that I was wearing shorts and flip flops. ? Which leads me to my current conundrum. I need to replace two bushes on my coil springs so I can put the suspension back on. The bushes are very reasonable at ￡1.30 each. The correct tool costs ￡85 specific to Triumphs and which I will only use once. The options A - Do I buy the correct compression tool, then re-sell it on ebay , having changed the bushes and the top plate? B - Or do I clamp it in the blacksmiths vice, compress the springs with a ratchet strap, secure with baler cord, and hope that if it lets go, it fires the coil out through the workshop door and that hope no one is walking by.
