Happy Women’s Equality Day! August 26th is designated as Women’s Equality Day in honor of the 19th Amendment of the United States Constitution, which prohibits all states in the U.S. from denying someone the right to vote based on their gender. At Sundance, we champion the success and progress of women across all industries. We will continue to provide a workplace with equal opportunities for all. #womensrequalityday #womeninstem #equality #leadership

August 26th may be the official Women's Equality Day, and I celebrate that ... but women also need that equality every single day so they can be empowered to open businesses, and be successful in getting capital for their businesses. It is my biggest passion empowering all entrepreneurs in attaining their dreams by teaching them how to get the capital they need to scale. #womenforwomen #businesscapital #businessloans #creditcardstacking

Today, August 26th, we celebrate Women's Equality Day, a day that commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits the federal and state governments from restricting the right to vote based on sex and effectively guarantees women the right to vote.?(Shoutout to your favorite suffragettes! ??) Women's Equality Day is about recognizing the incredible strides women have made in the workplace while also recognizing that we still have a long way to go in terms of equal pay, representation in positions of leadership, equal treatment, and equity. Let's continue to advocate for gender equality, support women's professional growth, and create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all. #WomensEqualityDay #GenderEquality #EmpowerWomen

Today marks International Women’s Day. A day dedicated to celebrating achievements of women, and a call to action for accelerating gender equality. While there has been so much progress in the last century there is still much to be done. Below are highlights of great achievements to celebrate today. A common theme of women advocating for themselves and others as well as allies using their power to help progress gender equality. Today I ask you to celebrate a woman in your life, to thank an ally for their support, and to #InspireInclusion. A brief history of Women’s History: - 104 years ago the 19th amendment was ratified to allow women to vote in the US. - 61 years ago President JFK signed the Equal Pay Act, prohibiting sex-based wage discrimination between men and women performing the same job in the same workplace. - 51 years ago Title IX was signed into law to prohibit exclusion in educational and athletic programs based on gender. - 30 years ago President Clinton signed the Violence Against Women Act providing funding for programs that help victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and other gender-related violence. - 11 years ago the US military removed a ban against women serving in combat positions. - 3 years ago Kamala Harris was sworn in as the first woman to serve as Vice President of the United States. Today, I’m proud to work for a company that strives to #InspireInclusion. To work alongside strong female role models and amongst many allies for women. #IWD2024 Infineum

Taking action to bridge the gender pay gap in the EU! ???? The European Commission unveils a two-year plan aimed at closing the persistent disparity in pay between men and women. With little improvement seen over the past five years, the plan outlines eight key recommendations to ensure equal treatment of women in the workplace. From enforcing minimum sanctions for unequal pay to monitoring diversity policies, these measures signal a firm commitment to fostering gender equality. Despite widespread acknowledgment of the issue, progress has been slow, with women still earning 16.3 percent less per hour on average than their male counterparts. As discussions on women's rights continue at the annual roundtable, it's clear that decisive action is needed to drive meaningful change. Let's join forces to create a more inclusive and equitable future for all! Read the full article from Reuters here: https://lnkd.in/d5i9QdWT #GenderPayGap #Equality #EUCommission

Today is Equal Pay Day, a powerful reminder that the fight for gender equality in the workplace is far from over. On average, women still earn only 82 cents for every dollar earned by men. This gap is even wider for women of color and other marginalized groups. This means women have to work for almost 15 months to earn what men make in 12 months. It's time to close this gap once and for all. Let's advocate for fair wages, transparency, and equal opportunities for all. Together, we can build a future where everyone is paid what they deserve. #EqualPayDay #CloseTheGap #PayEquity Watch our latest vlog on Leveling the Playing Field - Equal Pay: https://bit.ly/3TcOWQS

Is it #EqualPayDay or Equal Slay Day, because today has been quite something. Cringe jokes aside, when Chandel R. and I decided to team up again and try to pull off a snap advocacy campaign (#OutOfSightOutOfPocket), we could never have imagined some of the industry's most respected voices on #DEI would join the call within a day. People like Div Pillay, Michelle Lim 林敏诗, Larisha V Jerome, Mariam Mohammed, Nareen Young, Gemma Saunders ?? GAICD, Sonali Hedditch, Dr. Emma Fulu (she/her), Mundanara Bayles AFHEA MAICD, Phoebe Saintilan-Stocks - I have to stop because I'm going to miss too many amazing people. But then again, maybe it figures, because the more of us talking about the urgent need for #intersectional data, the better, right? As someone who largely benefits from the status quo, and the 'Gender Pay Gap' continuing to average out women's experiences, it's my responsibility to use whatever #power, #privilege and #platform I have to draw attention to the people who have been *doing this work* for years, if not, decades. Our job now is to continue gathering momentum on August 20 and beyond, because who knows...maybe tomorrow is Equal Pay Day for First Nations women (unlikely). Or maybe it's next week? Or next month? Maybe in two weeks it's Equal Pay Day for #WomenOfColour, or maybe it's in six months time? ??♀? Because without intersectional pay gap data, we cannot know exactly how big the ‘gaps within the gap’ actually are. So, are you ready to make some noise? After ?????? ??????????, women are still fighting for the same cause. - ???????? : New York textile workers strike for equal pay. - ???????? : The principle of gender equality in all spheres is enshrined in the preamble to the Constitution: "The law guarantees women equal rights with men in all matters". The decree of ???? ???????? abolishes the concept of "women's wages". - ?? ?????? ???????? : Adoption of the Génisson law on professional equality between women and men. This law updates and strengthens the ???????? law (Roudy law = professional equality between women and men) by defining the main lines of its implementation. Today, in 2023, our salaries are ?????????? ?????????????? to those of men, even though we have the same studies and qualifications and therefore do the same work. I'm currently working in a case study in international geopolitic about the theme EQUAL PAY DAY, and that's how I saw those inequalities and today I'm in part of BNEM - Bureau National des étudiants en école de Management where we are going to talk about this subject ! Promoting gender equality is all well and good, but when are we going to put it into practice? Anyone can talk about it, but who's going to get involved in ending the inequality which has gone on for far too long? #unitednations #unwomen #UNWOMEN #UNESCO #CARE
Achieving equal pay is an important milestone for human rights & gender equality. Yet, despite global progress, there isn't a single country or a sector that has closed the gender pay gap. Women still earn about 20% less than men for equivalent work. On Monday's Equal Pay Day, join UN Women in demanding equal pay for work of equal value. https://www.unwomen.org/en
