This week, Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division launched Someone’s Someone — a campaign that highlights the power of connection in our communities and feels especially close to my heart. ? Addiction is often met with stigma and misunderstanding, but behind every statistic is a story. Each person struggling with addiction is someone’s child, sibling, parent, or friend. They’re loved, they’re important, and they deserve compassion and care, not judgment. ? At CMHA Ontario, we believe that a community is strongest when we stand together, supporting those who are too often pushed to the margins. Someone’s Someone seeks to humanize the stories behind addiction and raise awareness around the need for effective services and supports. ? We know this issue is complex. We know the solutions aren’t easy. But what we also know, and what I firmly believe, is that every person is worthy of dignity, respect, and the opportunity to heal. Let’s challenge the stigma, educate ourselves, and, most importantly, let’s show that we care. Because at the end of the day, we are all someone’s someone. ? Join us on this journey. Together, we can make a difference. ? #SomeonesSomeone
