Have you ever wondered how Stunio got started in the first place? It all started when Adam Green, our CEO, was a student at Michigan State University. Adam has always been interested in laws and politics, and studying at MSU has allowed him to make the most of his time at James Madison College by working at the State Capitol for all three years of his undergraduate studies. However, despite all of the wonderful opportunities, making ends meet was a grand concern. To finance the heavy costs of school, books, rent, and even food, Adam had to work many jobs at once, including Uber and Grubhub. He even had to sell plasma twice a week to generate a little extra money. Adam decided there had to be a better method to gain money without sacrificing too much health and energy, which created the idea of Stunio. Stunio desired to connect students with local businesses and communities to provide gig services, and Adam saw it as a solution to his dilemma. Every day, Stunio assists hundreds of students with their personal finances, as well as local companies and communities, and we are growing stronger and better than ever! #stunio #stuniospeed #startup #entrepreneurship #service

Our Journey: Securing Our First Sale at Lectful Once upon a time, in the bustling world of e-learning, there was a small but mighty startup called Lectful . Armed with nothing but passion and a dream, our intrepid founder embarked on a journey filled with twists, turns, and one very memorable first sale. Picture this: a nervous entrepreneur picks up the phone, ready to pitch their revolutionary e-learning solution to the world. With trembling hands, they dial the number of their very first potential client, bracing themselves for the inevitable rejection or deafening silence. But lo and behold, what happens next is nothing short of magical! The client not only listens attentively but also places an order on the spot, sending shockwaves of disbelief through our hero's veins. Cue the confetti and cue the celebration because, against all odds, Lectful had secured its very first sale! ?? Who would have thought that such a monumental milestone would be accompanied by a chorus of laughter and a sprinkle of absurdity? It just goes to show that in the unpredictable world of entrepreneurship, sometimes the best stories come with a side of humor. ?? If only we could bottle up that mix of nerves, excitement, and sheer disbelief and sell it as our secret sauce, we'd be rolling in riches! But for now, we'll settle for cherishing this hilarious moment as a reminder that in the grand tapestry of startup life, every victory – no matter how small – deserves to be celebrated. So here's to the wild ride called entrepreneurship, where laughter is the best medicine, and every success is sweeter when shared with fellow dreamers. Stay tuned for more tales from the Lectful chronicles – coming soon to a LinkedIn feed near you! ???? #Entrepreneurship #StartupStories #FirstSaleFun

I founded my 1st company in high school. And a few years later? I was able to do an exit. So one night I got a message from my friend: ”Melker.. I learned how to build websites” ”I just sold one for €1500. Are you in?” A lot of money for any high school student. And I wanted that too. So I joined him. Now we were 2 teenagers running a business. Can you imagine? The company didn’t become a tech giant immediately. But after some time, we actually got to see success. Why did I leave then? Starting my first company was the 2nd best thing I did then. But the best thing? Well, for me at that time.. to leave the company. Simply because for my own development. I take every opportunity to grow. That’s how I live my life and build businesses. So next time you're staring down an impossible task - remember this: you might be surprised by what you can learn (and achieve) along the way. #entrepreneurship #startup #founderstory

For the generation that has always been skeptical of founding a start up, here are 5 Takeaways that will help you to start your next Startup: 1. Take the first step: The first step is the most difficult, but the rest that comes will be easier. 2. Investment: You don't need a lot of money or a large investment to start. Many businesses start small and grow a lot. 3. Working hard is important: They say smart work is more important than working hard. The truth is smart work comes into picture when you sow a seed of hard work. 4. You can start anywhere: To start a business, you wouldn't need to be in a tier 1/ metropolitan city. Even if you're from a tier 2/3 city, things work out. 5. Education: Be mindful of the decisions you make. Dropping out is not always necessary to start your business. Anything you are enrolled in will teach you something. #startup #founder #entrepreneur #learnings

YouTube was launched in 2005. It was founded by three PayPal employees: Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, who ran the company from an office above a small restaurant in San Mateo. The first video uploaded to the platform was “Me at the zoo”, featuring Karim. By the years end, YouTube was hosting over two million videos per day on its website and was averaging over 20 million daily active users. It wouldn’t be long before Google scooped up YouTube, acquiring the startup for $1.65 billion in late 2006. #speech #founder #entrepreneur #startup #entrepreneurship #ceo #businessman #entrepreneurs #business #motivational #successful #hustle #money #startuplife #youtube #youtubefounders #jawedkarim #chadhurley #stevechen #google

I've worked with top Founders over the last 15 years. Here's the 1 question I asked all of them: “Why does the world need your product/service?” See, when I choose to invest my time and/or money into them, this question is a must. Here's why: It shows me if they…. - believe in their product - know if they are 10x better - have done all their research Your product needs to be 10x better to win, in fact! This is actually well documented in startup circles and known, aptly, as “the 10x rule”. Google it. ??Uber is 10x better than hailing a cab ??Instacart is 10x better than grocery shopping ??NCC is 10x better than credit card debt or factoring for commercial cleaning companies So think about this the next time you want to launch a sunscreen, beverage or app. Why does the world need your product? And are you 10x better than the analog? ?? The Cleaning Pros of America is 10x better than any other commercial cleaning company in Sarasota County Florida. Look it up. #10x #founder #entrepreneur #startup

can (baby ???? ) startup founders even offer any advice? last week, we (Ashley Lauren and Ilana Andrev) were invited to talk on a student startup panel at the?University of Minnesota's Entrepreneurship Club. we were joined by?Simeon Shaffar (founder of Xygos) and Taylor Stoddart (founder of Prosperum LLC). it was a bit nerve-wracking for us since, as such young startup founders... ?? would we even have any advice to share with the entre club members? not going to brag, but we think all of the panelists- ourselves included- had great advice. everyone shared their "why" for starting, how they balance school and building a company, and some raw advice on the realities of being an entrepreneur. ?? here are all the pieces of advice the founders shared: - having a strong "why" beyond money. - as a college student, now is the best time to start a startup...aka the "nothing to lose" mentality. - use all the resources the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship and the U of MN provides! if you are at a different college, search for the resources they provide. - you learn as you go. you will not have it all figured out. - get really good mentors to help you. - your schedule should reflect your priorities. MAKE time for what you want. it was a blast speaking to our fellow peers and it was even more fun to get to know the other panelists! in regards to ThoughtX itself, we are continuing to make app improvements and customer-discovery fit. lots of new things coming soon so stay tuned ?? #studententrepreneurs #universityofminnesota #entrepreneurpanel #startupfounders

For those committed to long-term success, this is your moment to push harder and prove your vision is worth backing. I volunteered to be a mentor for The Roux Institute at Northeastern University 2024 Founders Residency Cohort. A couple of years back, I was fixing to start a marketing technology software company, but I was unable to manage TOCmedia and a new business, so I decided to focus on the agency instead. Now that I'm back in learning and networking mode, I decided to offer my marketing knowledge, meet some new entrepreneurs, and learn more about the institute and startup game at the same time. I'm very interested in following these founders >>> https://bit.ly/3zEbq7l #yolo #startup #business #staycurious
