Day 3 of our paid work experience with UK Youth: Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Dom and Zak from Bullhorn, who shared their journeys from childhood to sales management ??. Our participants were engaged, asking loads of questions and showing great interest ????. Dom and Zak also discussed early talent opportunities at Bullhorn and what they look for in new hires ??. They encouraged everyone to connect with them on LinkedIn and promised to share upcoming job opportunities ??. A great question was raised about diversity at Bullhorn, and Dom and Zak’s response was inspiring. As a London-based company ??, they’re committed to ensuring their workforce reflects the city’s diversity ??, with employees growing from entry-level roles to leadership ??. It’s a commitment to diversity that, unfortunately, many other organisations can’t match. ?? **Reflecting on a Fantastic Forvis Mazars Welcome Event at the University of Warwick** ?? I recently had the pleasure of attending a three-day welcome event hosted by Forvis Mazars in the UK in the UK at the University of Warwick, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Here are FIVE key takeaways that made this event so impressive: 1. Warm Welcome: From the moment we arrived, Forvis Mazars made everyone feel incredibly welcomed. Their team provided detailed guidance on everything from living arrangements to food allocation, always with a smile and genuine patience. 2. Well-Structured Schedule: The event was meticulously organized, featuring a diverse range of activities and introductions. We learned about the firm's structure, Forvis Mazars Culture & Careers , service lines, early careers development, well-being and resilience, ICAEW qualification, inclusion and diversity, sustainability, and IT. A lanyard with a detailed schedule ensured we were always informed and prepared. 3. Building Connections: One of the standout aspects was the opportunity to connect with colleagues across different UK offices and roles. We heard inspiring stories from partners and senior team members and engaged with a diverse group of attendees, including school leavers, graduates, and those on placement. The event also provided time to build our team dynamic and collaboration. 4. Deeper Reflection: The event prompted me to reflect on Forvis Mazars' core value of "Doing the right thing." I realized how closely this aligns with my role as an auditor—ensuring true and fair financial statements through ethical practices and adherence to the code of ethics (COPIC). 5. I've set a defined career pathway and am committed to making meaningful contributions to the firm and impacting others positively.
