Our company president Crystal DeStefano, APR shared a personal year-end message with her followers earlier this week (https://lnkd.in/eJka3nSs). We’re grateful for her leadership and lessons learned as we reflect back on 2024. What were some of the important lessons you learned this year? We want to hear your advice, observations, and perspectives in the comments below! ?? One of the things we love about the culture among our team is that we can be open, honest, and vulnerable - which is especially evident in Crystal's message. ?? This year was tough for a lot of people. Our team was proud to be able to support each other, in addition to supporting our clients, through some really unexpected challenges. We’re going to take some time for R&R over the next couple of weeks, and come back stronger than ever in 2025!

What Christmas Has Taught Me About Leadership and Connection Growing up, Christmas always felt like more than just a celebration—it was a reminder of how much joy can come from small, thoughtful gestures. It’s not the big gifts or sparkling lights that stay with you; it’s the moments of connection, the warmth of being present, and the joy of showing kindness. Over the years, I’ve realized how much these values shape my approach to leadership: Showing up fully – being truly present for those who matter. Giving generously – whether it’s a kind word, support, or recognition. Creating belonging – making sure everyone feels seen and valued. This Christmas, I’m reminded of how important it is to lead with empathy and intention—not just during the holidays but every single day. For me, it’s about creating those meaningful connections that leave a lasting impact. And as I reflect on this past year, I’m grateful for the opportunity to support so many incredible leaders on their journey. What about you? What’s one holiday tradition or lesson that inspires your leadership style? Share your thoughts below or tell me about a Christmas moment that’s stayed with you. I’d love to hear from you. Wishing you and your loved ones a season filled with joy, connection, and all the little moments that matter most! #MerryChristmas #LeadershipWithHeart #EmpathyInLeadership #ConnectionMatters #HolidayReflections

Happy New Year from Judith W. Umlas! ?? ?? ?? As we step into this new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance of Grateful Leadership Using the Power of Acknowledgment — an empowering and powerful concept that has deeply shaped my journey and, I hope, yours as well. A new year is more than just a date on the calendar. It’s a chance to acknowledge the people, opportunities, and experiences that have inspired us, supported us, and driven us forward. It’s also a chance to begin again, armed with the lessons and gratitude from the year behind us. In 2025, let’s make it a collective goal to practice acknowledgment at least once daily, and in this case, “more is indeed better,“ as long as it’s authentic and heartfelt! Let’s recognize the contributions of those around us—not only for what they do but for who they are. When we lead with gratitude, we unlock potential, build stronger relationships, and create environments where people thrive. I am grateful for this incredible LinkedIn community and for each of you who believes in the power of appreciation and acknowledgment. Together, we can create meaningful change. Here’s to a year of connection, collaboration, and grateful leadership. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember! What are you most grateful for as we begin this new year? Share your thoughts—I’d love to hear from you! #GratefulLeadership #PowerOfAcknowledgment #HappyNewYear2025

This Christmas, Lets Celebrate As the year winds down, take a moment to celebrate you—your growth, your wins, and even the lessons tucked inside the challenges. You’ve come so far, and that deserves recognition. This season is also about the people who make life richer—family and friends who bring connection, joy, and love. But let’s look beyond just our close circles. Here’s how the 5 Circles of Influence can guide your celebrations this Christmas: → Self Celebrate your personal growth. What habits have brought you peace and progress? → Family Take time to honor the relationships that root and ground you. Share stories, traditions, or just quiet moments. → Team Reflect on the trust and collaboration you’ve built. A healthy team doesn’t just get the job done; it inspires. → Organization Appreciate the impact of a thriving workplace. When we lead with intentionality, we create environments where people feel seen and valued. → Community Think about how all of this flows outward. Healthy, whole people create strong teams, which build flourishing organizations—and those, my friend, make better neighborhoods, schools, and cities. << As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let’s celebrate the hop of the season and the impact you’re making, circle by circle. >> Which circle have you seen the most growth? Merry Christmas from me and my family to you. +++++ Is 2025 your year to level up your leadership? My next Level Up Leadership masterclass starts January 27th. Find the link under my headline for information.

As leaders, it’s easy to default to a simple “Happy Thanksgiving!” this time of year—but let’s take a moment to think bigger. Not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving the same way—or at all. That’s the beauty of our diverse teams. Real inclusive leadership means recognizing these differences, appreciating them, and creating space for everyone to feel valued, no matter how they spend this season. A few small actions can make a big difference: ?? Acknowledge diverse experiences and traditions. ?? Show gratitude in ways that resonate with everyone. ?? Lead with empathy and curiosity—ask, don’t assume. This season is about connection, gratitude, and care. Let’s use it as a chance to strengthen our teams, celebrate what makes us unique, and set the tone for inclusion all year long. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead alongside incredible people who make me better every day. #InclusiveLeadership #Gratitude #DiversityAndInclusion #LeadershipMatters

Director of Public Relations at Strategic Communications
3 个月Speaking more from a volunteer role perspective, in the context of serving in leadership positions on boards, one of the lessons I learned in 2024 was that it's okay not to take it *all* on. If you ask something like, "Who wants to do this?" or "We've identified this as being important, who wants to take the lead?" and no one raises their hand, perhaps that means it's not a priority to the group after all, not that we - in whatever titles we hold - need to make sure it gets done. Thank you, Amy Doonan Cronin, APR (she/her) for summing this up so eloquently over coffee this morning!
