To have an effective plan, we must identify those assisting agencies and share with them what the expectations are. As violence on school campuses across the US continues to rise, so does the need for emergency response coordination to increase response times and reduce the chaos around these events. The StrataSite? IAP platform connects schools with emergency service agencies in the community to collaboratively create school incident action plans and ensure a coordinated emergency response from all stakeholders. Every Queenslander deserves to be safe and feel safe. The Community Safety Plan for Queensland is a comprehensive plan to further reduce crime that’s based on the advice of police, victims and experts. The plan is backed by $1.28 billion in additional investment that is focused on 5 key pillars. ? Supporting victims. ? Delivering for our frontline. ? Detaining offenders to protect the community. ? Intervening when people offend. ? Preventing crime before it occurs. COMMUNITY SAFETY PLAN: We know community safety is a big concern for many people. Everyone has the right to not only be safe but to feel safe as well. Which is why we released our Community Safety Plan for QLD. It describes the things we already are doing that work, and how we’re expanding on those. And some new things that experts, frontline workers, victims - and police - have told us they believe we need to do. This is a topic of national importance. Each State and Territory is facing similar issues and trying to work out the best way forward to tackle crime in general and youth crime in particular. Ultimately the success of alternative programs requires significant investment (but the cost and benefit of that investment may be less than the cost of incarceration).

As a growing number of homeless encampments pop up in public spaces in Winnipeg and across Canada, governments and courts are setting ground rules on balancing the rights and needs of unhoused people with neighbours living around them. ??Over the last 4 months, we've been working with Brisbane South PHN to consult and work with 6 multicultural communities to strengthen approaches to suicide prevention and intervention. ??This is pertinent as we know Culturally Diverse Communities have unique factors that must be accounted for in suicide prevention.
