Thankfully, the United States is still a nation which respects free speech. However, there are big differences between free speech and speech which dehumanizes and attempts to deprive others of basic human rights. Hate speech is not OK. In times like these we reflect on past experiences and how they've shaped our understanding and development as mature adults. I have been through too many negative racially motivated experiences to count, from hurtful name calling, to having 25+ hooligans jumping on my head and kicking in the back due to the colour of my skin. All under the shadows of racial riots. I now have a trepidation in my heart once again, moreso for my children who have never witnessed times such as these. In light of recent events, it's crucial for us to remember the importance of standing up for each other and respecting one another. The unrest and violence we are witnessing not only tear communities apart but also undermine the values of unity and mutual support that we should all uphold. We must rise above the divisive rhetoric and actions, and instead, focus on building bridges and fostering understanding. Every person deserves to feel safe and respected, regardless of their background or circumstances. This is a time to show solidarity and compassion, to listen to each other's stories, and to work together towards solutions that benefit everyone. Let's commit to being part of the solution, whether that means offering a helping hand to a neighbor, speaking out against injustice, or simply treating others with kindness and respect. Our collective actions can make a significant difference in creating a more inclusive and peaceful society. Together, we can navigate these challenging times and emerge stronger, more connected, and more resilient. Stand up for each other, respect one another, and let's build a better future together. ??

Personally, I think Managing Culture and Diversity should be part of all Educational Activities (extracurricular or as part of the syllabus) across the world starting from Kindergarten to Higher Education. Structural Racism + structural sexism = structural mysogynoir The data shows strong evidence that mysogynoir was the decisive factor in the 2024 election, with an outsized impact most notably on white voters. This shouldn’t be a surprise to people who are paying close attention, but for white people it still tends to jump out of our peripheral vision. This includes voters on both sides of the aisle. UN Tolerance Day Nov 16 Honoring Justice Marshall By Mateusz Dominik Wojnarowicz Founder,?Mixed Race Civil Rights https://lnkd.in/gAqwMkrx I, Mateusz Dominik Wojnarowicz, Polish-Multiracial teenage entrepreneur and innovator and founder of https://lnkd.in/gAqwMkrx honor Thurgood Marshall, as he was not only the very first Mixed Race Associate Justice amongst the Supreme Court, he was also the first to acquire his position through tremendous struggle and legal battles through the entirety of the Civil Rights movement, which, brought about the conditions for him to acquire his aforementioned title. One of Thurgood Marshall’s most notable achievements, which I find to be the foundation of my tribute, is in regards to his profound history of advocating of civil justice and civil rights, with the most famed of examples being 1954’s #BrownvBoardofEducation, for this laid forth the basis for his further successes which I am inspired by. Thurgood Marshall cared a great deal for civil rights, for, the civil rights struggle of his time was between the the antagonistic race relations between Whites and Blacks. However, I relate back to Justice Marshall as a historical basis for my goal of expansion of civil rights to extend to that of Mixed Race individuals and their very own direct and clear cut rights laid forth into written law. This expansion of our current civil rights is to lay down a modern tenet to the Civil Rights Act, to establish new inroads that even the most progression of our laws may be subject to critique and be expounded upon when shown to not protect the rights for whom they demand to protect, which is entirely my basis for this expansion. As the founder, I assert that #MixedRaceCivilRights is not anti-Black, nor, anti-White, and, #MixedRaceCivilRights expands civil rights protection, is not the same praxis as White Civil Rights, and, respects the civil rights of all of humanity.-M.W.
