The Stolfus & Associates team is hitting the road, working to support CDOT with the Strategic Highway Safety Plan Workshop Sessions. Last week the team traveled to Durango (Region 5) and Glenwood Springs (Region 3). These sessions brought together stakeholders to help shape the future of transportation safety in Colorado. This week the team will visit stakeholders in CDOT's Region 1, 2 and 4. The 2025 Strategic Highway Plan will outline strategies and actions that support the most impactful safety investments for our state over the next five years. We’re proud to be part of this important work and look forward to contributing to safer roadways for all Coloradans. #safetyfirst #durango #glenwoodsprings #colorado #coloradosafety #cdot #transportationsafety

Elizabeth Stolfus recently attended ACEC Colorado’s third annual fly-in visit to Washington D.C., where ACEC Colorado members served as “consulting engineer representatives” at the townhouse event. Approximately 30 Democrats from the U.S. House gathered to support Congresswoman Sharice Davids' campaign to lead the New Democrats Coalition, the largest caucus in the House. Congresswoman Davids is a key member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, working to shape the future of U.S. infrastructure. We are proud to be part of these important conversations about the role of engineering and transportation in building a better future.

At Stolfus, our commitment to the communities we serve is at the heart of everything we do. Over the next few months, we’re excited to share stories and insights highlighting how our work positively impacts the communities we live, work, and play.? ? This week, we’re spotlighting the 104th Avenue at McKay Road project, a key part of the 104th Avenue Widening RAISE grant. Hear from Lynnae Johnson, EI, on our team about how we are advancing the design with a strong focus on improving safety and mobility. ? "As a design engineer for the McKay Rd and 104th Ave intersection, I’ve been focused on enhancing pedestrian safety by re-evaluating the intersection layout and adding channelizing right turn median islands to shorten pedestrian crossing widths. Collaborating with my teammates, Adams County, and the City of Thornton, we are diligently working to ensure this project meets its goals of increasing safety, usability, and connectivity for everyone who uses this vital roadway."?— Lynnae Johnson, EI ? Thank you, Lynnae, for exemplifying our culture of collaboration, safety, and community impact. Her dedication reflects our values at Stolfus, and we’re proud to have her on our team.
