Congratulations to the #DHHS #SafeScript team - National #AIIAiAward winners in the Infrastructure & Platform category. SafeScript, Victoria’s new real-time prescription monitoring system, reduces the growing harms and deaths caused by high-risk medicines. More Victorians die from prescription medicine overdoses than from illicit drugs or the road toll. SafeScript gives doctors, pharmacists and nurse practitioners real-time information about high-risk medicines taken by their patients. The system, built on #Microsoft #Azure by #FredITGroup, is a good health-sector example of Platform+Agile enabled digital innovation. It has addressed Victoria’s policy requirements in a nimble manner and also provided a platform for a national real time prescription monitoring solution. Well done to all involved for creating this life saving system, including Melissa Skilbeck, Matthew McCrone, Lena Belfield, Paul Naismith, Richard Lowe, David Jonas, Amir Matta, Justin Lam, Melissa Boag, Peter Teiermanis, Liana Shi, Abhendra Singh, CISSP, SSCP, Jeff Warren and many others.
