I'm Johnny Champion. I'm a partner in the Aviation litigation and Regulation Team. I'm Estella Bouguerra. I'm a pensions lawyer. My name is Oliver Sangster and I'm a partner in the construction litigation Team. I'm Theresa Choi from Stewarton Howard Hong Kong Office, and I'm from the Finance Department. Marine trade and offshore practice in Singapore. I'm Charlotte Drake. I'm a partner in the finance group. A good law firm partner must be good with people. They have to be really good technically at law, They have to deliver great client client service, and they have to be excellent at winning work. I think those are the three absolute core qualities of a partner and uncompromising desire and drive to do the absolute best for clients. The perfect partner is is a teacher, a technician, you know, salesperson, a marketeer, someone who leads by example, someone who doesn't ask of others what they don't do themselves, and I think most importantly. Someone who instills trust. The films are very supportive. I came over with the hope of becoming a partner here and they've been very open about the process and clear about what I needed to do and and support throughout. I've had phenomenal level of encouragement. I've had freedom as well as guidance. It's been amazing. Probably most importantly, I've had friendship. I I've also had great sponsorship from from senior people within the firm who really gone out of their way to champion me and support me. I've had great mentors within the firm. Have always been given exposure to clients very early on. Davidson Howard has supported me both professionally and personally. It's been a lifelong dream for me to backpack in South America and the firm has given me a sabbatical leave for a couple of months for me to fulfill this dream. I think the best piece of advice that I was ever given was probably the the advice that my very, very first trainee supervisor gave to me on the very first day in the office. And he said if something goes wrong, no one's going to die and money can fix it. And sometimes in the heat of the transaction, when things are all going wrong and it gets very, very stressful, I go back to that because it's always true. I think the best advice I've ever been given is know what you don't know. And one of the things about being a lawyer is that the learning never stops. Don't, don't. Think you know everything? Know when you need to ask for help? No one you need to get another expert involved. No one you need to approach another colleague. The best piece of advice I've been given was given by a partner who retired from Stinson Howard after working here for 40 years. He told me to pace myself if I wanted a long standing career in the legal industry. Might say too much. When we go itself, it's persevere and adapt. I think I'd say don't worry so much. Believe in yourself. You don't need to have all of the answers now, but I would also say everything that you do commit to it. Just really go for it. Put in your full energy and seek out every opportunity there is to not stress so much and everything will work out in the end. The people, it's got a very sort of family atmosphere, particularly in my team. Simpson Howard has definitely a second home for me. I think the people and the culture here makes it special. It's the clients we work for, their top tier clients and, and, and the work I do, I, I honestly feel I'm at the best place to do it. The work, the people and the opportunities. I would say it's the opportunity and the challenge that it presents probably the most. Important thing for me is the people. I want to spend time in an office where I really like working with the people who are there every day and I think Stephenson Horrid attracts the kind of people that I want to spend time with.
