YouTube’s new Hype feature is changing the game for creators—and we at fr3n are taking it to the next level!??? YouTube recently launched Hype, a feature that allows fans to go beyond just likes and shares. Fans can now hype their favorite videos from creators with under 500,000 subscribers, helping them rise on a Hype leaderboard and gain more visibility. It’s an exciting way for smaller creators to get the spotlight they deserve, and it’s exactly the kind of community-led growth that we believe in at fr3n! But we don’t stop there—fr3n combines the hype with real rewards. Fans who hype their favorite creators could earn exclusive behind-the-scenes content, get a special shoutout in the next video, or even unlock affiliate rewards. It’s all about giving superfans more ways to engage and be part of the journey. Here’s what’s amazing: In a survey of 2,500 viewers aged 18-45 from the US, Japan, and Germany, over 75% of respondents, and 80% of Gen Z viewers, said they want to help small and medium-sized creators grow their channels. Fans are ready to take action—they want to help their favorite creators succeed! And for creators? The more hype they receive, the higher they climb on the Engagement Leaderboard, giving them more visibility, and making it easier for them to reach new audiences. MrBeast is now targeting creator SaaS product companies. It's no surprise that someone who has perfected and optimized his videos is now turning those insights into a new business (Viewstats Pro). "Creator tech" isn't new—I worked for an advanced creator tech company (Jellysmack) so we tested a lot. But some elements of Jimmy Donaldson’s announcement were new to me and very exciting. For example: - Seeing results of ALL A/B thumbnail tests on Youtube Did you know you could do all the things he mentioned? By centralizing all technology under a single brand, led by a creator that many aspire to be like, I could see this easily doing 10M ARR in Year 1. ?WARNING - Math: - $600 annual fee - 3M Creators in the Youtube Partner Program - If MrBeast converts 16K people = 10M - This represents 0.5% of creators in YPP It seems doable for Viewstats. Bluesky, a microblogging social media network, has removed its waitlist and only-by-invitation system. Will it be the new X, considering that many big brands, such as The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, Apple, IBM, and Sony Pictures, left Elon Musk's asset? The main innovation here is that Bluesky promises a social internet where users, not platforms, will rule. This brings exciting possibilities such as openness, empowerment, and new horizons for developers who want to build diverse applications, creating an ecosystem. Their core attractive commitment is the transparent algorithm of content visibility, which could be the primary value for corporate users. At the same time, we watch the trend of reducing the importance of corporate branded content and increasing the influence of UGC, so maybe this Bluesky principle will make the creators' industry even more thriving. Another thing to consider for brands is their promise of not monetizing platforms using brand ads. What does it mean? Well, bearing in mind their politics of monetizing the custom brand domains, this could lead to the increasing importance of communities around brands based on their values and quality content. In conclusion, there is nothing new with Bluesky for the social media landscape: the importance of brand values, quality content, UGC creators, and a loyal community around the brand that improves awareness.
