? The first live demo confirmed expectations. Nyobolt’s ultra-fast charging battery took less than 5 minutes – 4 minutes and 37 seconds, to be precise – to move from 10 to 80%.? Time that reduces by more than half the time of the fastest recharges available commercially today. Tesla, for example, stands for 15-20 minutes. And without triggering the typical lithium-ion battery degradation process. Performance is similar to the batteries of another start-up, StoreDot.? The test took place on the test circuit of Bedford with a prototype of an electric car specifically designed for the ultrarapid volfram-anode charging battery of the British start-up, developed in conjunction with CALLUM. A 350 kW CC system was used for charging, which increased the vehicle’s range to 250 km. Already after the first 4 minutes, the charging allows a range of over 190 km, with the battery that has proven to support a peak current of 500 A. Charging times 0-100, in the lab, are around 6 minutes. ??
