Which One Should I Choose: Ruspert, Zinc Plating, or Dacromet? ?? ?? When deciding between Ruspert, Zinc plating, and Dacromet, it’s essential to understand the benefits of each. Zinc plating provides good adhesion but offers limited corrosion resistance due to its thin layer (5μm), making it suitable only for indoor or low-corrosion environments. It’s not recommended for treated timber like hardwood or softwood. Dacromet improves corrosion resistance and has better adhesion, but its layer can corrode when in contact with other metals. Ruspert, however, offers excellent adhesion and superior corrosion protection, making it ideal for outdoor applications like decking screws, wood screws, and other exposed fasteners. The PVC coating is a layer of plastic wrapped around the surface of the steel wires in the welded mesh, effectively preventing erosion from rainwater and thus prolonging its lifespan. Initially, PVC is in powder form. The welded mesh is unfolded and heated to a specific temperature using machinery, then passed through a dipping tank containing PVC powder. When the high-temperature heated welded mesh comes into contact with the PVC powder, it melts and adheres firmly to the steel wires of the mesh. After a period of cooling, the PVC protective layer is formed.
