Today we took part in the commemoration of the 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence. The office of the Attorney General in Northern Province takes full participation in ensuring that Beijing +30 vis-a-vis violence against women is realised. In so doing the office will ensure that it helps enhance policy change and legislation that protect GBV victims. It will assist stakeholders devise strategic preventive measures and responses to GBV and ensure that survivors have access to justice. #16daysactivism #AG #gbv #justice

On Day 8 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence and the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery Silent No More (SNoM), highlights United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 as a critical framework to improve the global response to conflict-related sexual slavery and Human Trafficking. It is estimated that 68% of human trafficking victims are women and girls, one-third of identified victims are children and 58% are trafficked for sexual exploitation.
