The NMCD Reentry Division is all about helping returning citizens start over by preparing them for success as they transition from life inside our facilities to life on probation and / or parole supervision, and ultimately, life on the outside as productive citizens. Our Reentry Division is proud to have produced a series of videos that highlight just a few of the many success stories that they facilitate and witness every day. The Engage Case Managers are vital to the success of our young adults. The weekly case managers meeting with the primary therapist is crucial to the care and coordination of our clients treatment and growth. This week, I started teaching my first classes of the semester at Western New Mexico University as an adjunct professor in the graduate counseling program. It's my 25th year teaching graduate counseling and vocational rehabilitation counseling students across the country. As the new semester begins for high school and college students, it's crucial that we ensure our students with disabilities experience inclusive and accessible learning environments. Are our classrooms truly accessible? Is the software and hardware we use designed with accessibility in mind? Are we fully committed to inclusiveness by making reasonable accommodations? With the start of the new semester, it's an ideal time to assess our role and our systems to guarantee full inclusiveness and accessibility. I am fortunate to work for Alliance Enterprises, a company that is continuously committed to accessibility in all its products. In most cases, a Registered Behavior Technician, or an RBT, will provide direct services to your child. As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to request proof of certification, and even a copy of this individuals background check. Please note that at some companies, a Behavioral Technician (BT) may be providing services to your child. A BT may hold their title because they: ?? Are new to the field and actively pursuing RBT credentialing ?? Have not completed all of the minimum RBT requirements ??
