Thinking about Starry, Inc.. I remember meeting with then-CEO Chaitanya Kanojia and CTO Joe Lipowski at CES in 2018. Obvs a very different time. VC-funded and gearing up for growth. They talked about how they weren’t really a “rebellious” bunch like they were being portrayed. More like just wanting to offer choice in broadband and being successful at it. So much happened. Flash forward and now CEO Alex Moullé-Berteaux is talking about reaching profitability – post crazy growth, post IPO, post bankruptcy. Onward. #FWA #spectrum #millimeterwave #geekingout
Thank you, Monica, for catching up with us. We’re excited for what’s next!
Great write-up Monica Alleven ! #Starry is back on the rise and will continue to drive market share and become thought leaders in the fixed wireless space!

It's never been easy to be plausible/profitable without the USDA or some other agency providing some incentives. Fixed wireless and satellite "broadband" were all the rage in the late 90's (when I was at Malibu Networks) but the money always seemed to point to the most densely populated areas served by telcos and cable operators. I have heard enough first-person accounts from people who love their T-Mobile 5G (in-home) and Starlink that I'll remain hopeful. Best wishes to the "new" Starry.
