All my APIs are now enhanced with LLM-extracted data—20 new fields! One (relatively) simple prompt with 4o-mini. Still in Beta, but the results are looking good so far. It appears that the LLM is smart enough to figure out what "core responsibilities" and "remote location" are without much guidance. What am I extracting: - Salary buried in the job description. Either a range or a single value + currency and per hour/day/week/month. - Granular Remote/Hybrid/Office classification. The Telecommute field from Google and most ATS's remote flagging is not accurate enough. I'm now classifying every job in one of 4 categories: ? On-site (Job is on-site only, no working from home available) ? Hybrid (Job is in the office with one or more days remote) ? Remote OK (Job is fully remote, but an office is available) ? Remote Solely (Job is fully remote, and no office is available) - The number of office days when a job is Hybrid - The remote location if a remote job is in a certain region/timezone/country - Experience level with 4 categories: 0-2y, 2-5y, 5-10y, 10+y - Several short summaries: Benefits Key Skill req Core Responsibilities Job Requirements - Work hours per week, 40 or lower - The hiring manager's name and email address (API coming for this soon!) - Visa sponsorship opportunities - The job posting's language - Employment type: full_time/part_time/contractor/temporary/intern/volunteer/per_diem What else can I add to this?

The current job market is SCARY. So many companies resist allowing remote work, despite most teams being outsourced. Job listings are often scams that try to gather as much personal information as they can and these job sites allow this. Super concerning given the frequency of data breaches. (Just had one yesterday with CHASE) Employers seek the impossible, demanding extensive qualifications and god-like abilities while providing almost nothing in return. As a result, people feel forced to settle for any minimum-wage position just to afford the basic necessities, except those companies are not hiring either.
