What are three actions pediatricians can take to advocate for climate health within their communities? 1 is vote and get your patients registered to vote regardless of political party. We will not come up with good climate solutions if we do not have a healthy democracy, and rigorous civic engagement is essential to a healthy democracy. The second action you can take is think about what your nodes of influence are. Whether it's your church, it's your school, it's another community. Organization that you're a part of and think about how you bring climate change into that conversation. I promise you, everyone else is thinking about it too. They're just asking for somebody to raise the issue and think about what they can do. Third, you can take individual action, but tell others that you are doing it. So whether you're cutting, eating meat, or walking more, it's not necessarily your individual action, It's raising the consciousness of others that you are taking action and that other people can take action to.
