For friends in or close to Dallas: Stanford University Vice Provost for Digital Education Matthew Rascoff will be speaking at University Park Library on Thursday, March 6, at 6 p.m., about expanding access to college credit in high schools serving low-income communities. He’ll discuss how collaborations between universities, and strategic partnerships with nonprofits such as the National Education Equity Lab, are empowering tens of thousands of high school students to earn college credit through online courses. Matthew will be joined by Jennifer Porter of Texas OnRamps, at University of Texas at Austin. OnRamps works with high schools across Texas to introduce students to engaging learning experiences aligned with the expectations of research universities.
