JUST BREAK THE SILENCE TO STAND FOR HUMANITY; STAND FOR P/ALE*STINE. STOP GENO*CIDE & WAR CRIMES EVERYWHERE. On the anniversary of the Hamas atrocities, I still can’t understand how Israel leadership can possibly rationalize their vengeful over-the-top offensive response which has resulted in the destruction, genocide, and famine in Gaza. The lack of humanity for innocent humans has been multiplied 50-100x. It’s sad and avoidable. The world needs to hold both Israeli leadership and Hamas accountable for their war crimes against humanity. “Osama is one of hundreds of thousands of children whose lives have been shattered during Israel’s yearlong military offensive in Gaza, which has brought on a humanitarian catastrophe. More than 41,900 people have been killed, according to health officials in Gaza, since Israel launched its assault after the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks in which some 1,200 people were killed and around 250 taken hostage, marking a major escalation in a decades-long conflict. Like the rest of Gaza’s children, who make up about half of the strip’s population of 2.2 million, Osama bears no responsibility for the Oct. 7 attacks, nor the devastating war that followed. But children like him are paying a high price, with more than 16,900 killed, including dozens of infants under the age of 1, during the intensive Israeli bombing and ground operations, according to the Palestinian health ministry. With the Israeli government’s stated aim of destroying Hamas and seeing the remaining 97 hostages returned, bombs have flattened much of Gaza and driven an estimated 90 percent of the population from their homes ?— often multiple times. Now, hundreds of thousands live in crowded tent cities. Even designated safe zones are not safe. Young people are especially vulnerable to disease and other health ailments ripping through Gaza. Malnutrition is rife among the young, and diseases like polio, hepatitis, and cholera are flourishing in the crowded and unsanitary conditions. #Israel #Palestinians #accountability #peace #endtheviolence #humanity #endtheinsanity #thereisabetterway

When we thought the unimaginable horrors in Gaza cannot be surpassed. Israeli occupation army is flattening the rest of North Gaza and besieging its population in a new push to empty and annex the area. At the same time, the Israeli Knesset passes a law banning UNRWA in a cruel move to choke off Palestinian refugees. You might think this would be a “redline” for the Biden administration to stop funding Israel? Instead, we are witnessing the US-backed Israeli atrocities in Gaza reach a new height. And the failure of Arab leaders reach a new low. As we watch Israel’s extremist leaders lead the region into the abyss to the point of no return. We now understand, more than ever, that the existential threat to Israel is not external. An article in an Israeli newspaper: "Dresden pales in comparison to what we have done in Gaza. We have bombed indiscriminately, pulverized blatantly civilian targets and obliterated civilian infrastructure that makes life possible in the Gaza Strip, that became one huge Ground Zero. We have killed some two percent of its population, the vast majority of victims being civilians. And the worst thing is, we have grown used to that. Israelis do not bat an eye when they hear reports of dozens of children and women killed in a bombing. They just don't care. These attacks, where dozens of human beings, who just like us love, dream, hurt, have family and friends – are slaughtered (I have no other word) by our military, became a routine. Any death of "innocent bystanders" used to be extensively reported, even raising public debate. Today, a year into the war, reports of displaced persons' camps in which refugees were burned (and it is not a metaphor!) hardly make it to the fleeting war updates on news websites. The forced famine in Gaza is real. Let us open our hearts to do the right and just thing in solidarity with the Palestinians. They as our fellow human beings deserve more from us.
