We're proud to announce that Accion Opportunity Fund has provided $10.5 million in NMTC financing, in partnership with other organizations, to support the construction of a state-of-the-art, 40,430 square foot library in West Las Vegas. This incredible facility will not only offer traditional library services but will also become a crucial community hub, offering family learning programs, social and healthcare services, and workforce development opportunities. With a focus on serving low-income and minority populations, this library is set to impact over 23,000 individuals annually, including 5,400 at-risk youth. ?? Project Community Impacts at a Glance: -23,100 unique individuals served annually, with 80% being low-income. -75% of those served are minorities. -5,400 at-risk youth will benefit from the services. -195 construction jobs supported, with 156 for low-income individuals. -40.5 permanent full-time jobs created or retained, with 16 for low-income individuals. In a neighborhood where the poverty rate exceeds 55% and the unemployment rate is more than three times the national average, this project is more than just a building—it's a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change.
