?? Exciting progress in childhood cancer #research! A Children’s Oncology Group (COG) report shows that low-risk B-ALL children enrolled in a COG clinical trial – supported in part by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation – experience outstanding survival on low-intensity regimens. This trial treated children with two different low-intensity regimens, and both were favorable. This means doctors and families can now choose the best treatment option for their child, based on preference, with the same lifesaving results. ???? Sport Clips Haircuts, our national partner, is dedicated to its “Haircuts with Heart” philosophy, blending a passion for hair with a commitment to #philanthropy and #community support. Dawn Hendricks, a Sport Clips stylist and store manager in Raleigh, NC, exemplifies this philosophy. ? In 2007, after learning that a salon client’s daughter, who passed away from childhood cancer, sparked the start of a local Canton, OH, event, Dawn was inspired to #volunteer her barber services at the event, aiming to make a positive impact on kids with #cancer. This became an annual tradition for Dawn and her salon crew until her father's passing from cancer, which shifted her role from barber to shavee in his honor. Even after moving to Raleigh, Dawn remained involved. When she joined Sport Clips and discovered its partnership with St. Baldrick’s, she began volunteering at a local event. Dawn's years of involvement is further showcased through tattoos, sparking conversations and raising awareness.
