Our last mocktail of the year, our livers feel better and next week we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. So we've covered juices, a few new and different teas and now our last entry is an Espresso Tonic infused with ginger and juniper, so richer and with more depth and not relying on citrus, although some lemon zest would be perfect here. 500ml of Tonic Water 1 shot of Espresso (think funky like Black and White Coffee's Gerardo Caceres) Simple Syrup 1:1 ratio Ginger, diced Handful of Juniper berries The simple syrup carries the backbone of this mocktail, take 1/2c of water and 1/2c sugar and simmer until sugar dissolves. Add juniper berries and a small knob of diced ginger. Let steep for 20 minutes. Fill a slender highball glass with ice cubes, add a splash of simple syrup and fill to the top with tonic water leaving enough room for your shot of espresso. Creamsicle Shots Creamsicle shots are perfect for your next party or get together! Ingredients 2 packages vanilla pudding not prepared (3.4 ounces each) 1 package orange flavored Jello not prepared (3 ounces) 2 cups whole milk 1 cup vodka 4 ounces whipped topping like cool whip optional: sprinkles, extra whipped topping, orange slices or wedges, orange food coloring Instructions In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix, milk, and vodka until slightly thickened. Add the jello mix and mix until just combined. Whisk in 4 ounces of whipped topping until well mixed. If desired, add food coloring until you reach your preferred shade of orange. Spoon or pipe the creamsicle shot mixture into your shot glasses, leaving space for garnishes. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before garnishing and serving. #yummygoodness #youwilldowellbywells
