Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Horizon Simulations, and a lot has happened during these two years since we have been on the scene of flight simulation development.
We have had our fair share of ups, but instead of telling you what you already know and what has happened in the past, let me tell you about what's going to happen in the future.
First and foremost:
We have been speaking with Qbit from Qbit Simulations for a long time now, and it is my pleasure to announce that as part of the celebrations Horizon Simulations and Qbit Simulations are going to be merged into one entity, and we are going to share some more news about what this will entail in the near future.
Moving onto our projects:
Starting off with LatinVFR and the FBW mods for these aircraft. As we have mentioned in reply to multiple questions for now these aircraft will not get updated until the next version of FlyByWire's Stable comes out. This is mainly to make sure that we have the necessary manpower to focus on other projects that we are working on in the background.
CaptainSim + Salty Compatibility mods.
Like we said teevee has been working on this hard, and has been at the helm of the project since the moment we offered him the possibility of contributing and also publishing with us. You can all expect an update for this mod quite soon, and hopefully in the future we are also going to be able to add the rest of the CS lineup as well to be fully supported. (B763 is not included in this list)
B787 Lineup
This has been a brilliant roller-coaster so far, and is going to get better. Toby allowed DeathActual complete free reign on the project. And Death's OCD just keeps him on his toes, especially after having declared war on the 787 base model. So while updates at this point are not in the pipeline unless there's something that pops up that will urgently need fixing both the 789 and the 78X are going to worth the wait. And don't worry the 788 is getting some love also at the same time.
B748 Lineup
So this is where we have some not so good news, but since Death is the one that has been hammering away on the 747-8 as well as the 787s this project has taken less of a priority compared to the rest. Regardless though it has made great progress since our last update about it, and hopefully we are going to be able to showcase some photos and videos in the near future.
We have some more exciting news coming towards you soon. And we do hope that you'll continue on with us on this incredible journey that we have been on so far.
Thank you for your on-going and continued support.
As always, wishing you all the best
