We’re always proud when we get to design something beautiful that truly makes a difference. Our client Allott is a non-profit organization with a goal to rid the world's harbors of floating plastic and microplastics. Beginning with product strategy & design, visual identity, and full stack development, we’ve also helped launch their new donation site at allott.org. By giving as little as 100 NOK, people can help clean 100,000 liters of seawater, with 100% of the funds Allott receives from these donations going towards purchasing cleaning machines to remove these harmful materials from the sea. This summer the first ambitious project from Allot begins with a cleaning dock by the Oslo Opera house that purifies almost 1.5 million liters of seawater daily, removing plastic and microplastics from the fjord. Using the Oslofjord as a starting point, Allott's goal is to place 25,000 cleaning machines across Europe’s harbors. Because where people gather, trash also gathers and 94% of all plastic in the ocean sinks to the bottom causing irreparable harm (source: WWF). ?? Since last year, RS DACH has been collecting old cables from unusable returns, at its site in Bad Hersfeld and donating them to the non-profit organization MainLichtblick e.V. in Frankfurt. ?? Whether thick or thin, with or without a plug, from kitchen appliances, speakers or telephones: old cables are collected, which are sold as copper scrap. The proceeds are used entirely to fulfil the wishes of affected children who suffer from serious illnesses, are physically impaired or have had a traumatic experience. ?? Cable recycling is also environmental protection: the extraction of copper consumes a lot of resources and huge amounts of energy. Every gram of copper that can be melted down again protects nature. Using modern techniques, the scrap copper can be processed in such a way that it becomes completely pure again. #RSDACH #MakingAmazingHappen #ForABetterWorld #WeAreRS #OurPeople #ESG

Remember our 2024 walking challenge? ?? Here are the results! ?? We covered 7 668 373 steps, a distance of 5,478 kilometers together. This is almost the air distance between New York and London. ?And get this, driving that distance would require a whopping 357.5 liters of petrol. That's enough to power a small village or fill up a clown car. ??And let's not forget the price tag—approximately 560 Euros. ?? Now, brace yourselves for the environmental side of things. By walking we planted 27388 virtual trees. This would be approx 17% of the area in "Vingio parkas" in Vilnius. And on ?? of that, we donate to One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. Since 2014, they've planted over 135.5 million trees with 378 partners across 82 countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific. Our steps didn't just cover distance—they made a tangible difference for our planet. Let's keep walking towards a greener future! ???? #Iterato #BehindTheScenes #GetToKnowUs #WalkingChallenge

There's an old saying that goes like "if you want to change yourself, dare what you have never dared before.” It's with this spirit that, on 27th April, I will be taking part in the 'Race Around The Netherlands' (https://lnkd.in/dVGngjUi) - the most challenging bike race in the Netherlands. It's a fully self-supported bike race over 1,900 km, a part of the challenge is for the individual biker to come up with their own strategy for tackling logistics around arranging accommodation, planning breaks, food and even sleep. In a nutshell, it's a bikepacking competition. I take this challenge for many reasons; one of them is that I believe we have undiscovered physical and mental capacities but we don’t use them because we are surrounded by barriers we do not see. Break those barriers and you’ll find your real self. Another reason I do this is for a cause. I strongly believe that change can be brought about only with personal commitment and collective involvement. So, as I'm busy with training and preparations, please join me in my first ultra-cycling challenge by morally supporting me through a donation to help Justdiggit fight climate change by re-greening Africa (Bundraiser: a fundraiser for a cooler planet!) #ultrachallenge?#walkintheparknot #fundraising #racecycling #Conservation
